George Holloway is a 25yr old acoustic guitarist solo artist/singer who’s been on the Dorset music scene since 2005. George has achieved local success around Dorset, performing in various bars and restaurants on the South Coast.
George has had a musical interest for many years now…and learnt to play the guitar, quite late, when he was 17 years old! He was taught guitar by James Stratton, the ex guitarist from the band ‘The Darkness’, and was soon playing and writing his own music.
Continually inspired by big names such as Bon Jovi, Oasis, Michael Jackson and Bryan Adams, George will always amaze you with his huge repertoire of music, over 650 songs all from memory, and played live by himself. Included in his regular bookings are:
The Grove Tavern, Southbourne, Bournemouth
The Hop Inn, Bournemouth,
The Litten Tree, Bournemouth,
Yates, Bournemouth,
The Boathouse, Christchurch Quay
When George is not gigging, he concentrates on writing songs for a future project which he insists will further his career. He also has a strong desire to form his own band which he claims will expand his options further in the music world.
If you want a truely unique, fun, friendly and very talented musician then George is the man for you. After his 12 hour Charity Gig in May 2011, all in aid of Cancer Research UK, he proved that he can provide a unique and varied show to complement any event!
