Rosalind Fountain

Rosalind Fountain is a professional singer, voice coach and showcase producer. For a number of years she had her own youth theatre company, and produced performing arts showcases, writing scripts, coaching and directing a company of talented young performers. During her time as voice coach for a stage school, she trained and auditioned young people for the West End stage.

Over the years, Rosalind has sung all over the UK and abroad, as a soloist, and in choirs and musical theatre companies, in venues ranging from small church halls to the Royal Albert Hall.

Since moving to the south coast 5 years ago, Rosalind has become involved in the local music scene, producing events for Southampton’s Music In The City Festival, and showcasing many artists she has spotted in contests. As a singer, Rosalind performed to her biggest audience to date, 22,000 people at St Mary’s football stadium. She was also honoured to perform at Southampton’s Civic Commemorative Service for the Titanic, attended by the Mayor, M.P.’s and civic councillors.

Rosalind is on the judging panel of a number of national music contests, travelling all over the UK. She has also been invited to be the sole adjudicator of the vocal contemporary section of the prestigious Portsmouth Music Festival, which is part of the British Federation of Festivals (patron – Her Majesty The Queen), where she will also be giving performance Masterclasses.

Rosalind has been a mentor to many performers starting out in the business, giving advice and guidance, writing lyrics, offering performance opportunities, valuable publicity and contacts. She is always “scouting for talent”, and is delighted to be part of the Star Sensations judging panel.
